Sephardic Enrichment Program

Sephardic Enrichment Program Curriculum Objectives:

  • To help the children develop a deeper sense of the history of Sephardic Judaism, its present and its future.
  • To provide the children with authentic, textually-based exposure to Jewish learning from a Sephardic viewpoint,in a way compatible with their skill level.
  • To familiarize the children with uniquely Sephardic melodies and liturgy, with a special focus on the daily, Shabbat andholiday prayers and songs (pizmonim).
  • To create an opportunity for social bonding among the children and between the children and the Rabbi, thus creatingand impetus for greater involvement in community and synagogue services.
